It’s the Big Apple, Gotham, and the city that never sleeps. Everyone should go to New York City, America’s biggest metropolis, at least once in their lives. It is full of things to see and do, and many tourists don’t even know where to start. Especially if you have a limited budget, deciding what to do can be nerve wracking. Should you take one of the cruises to the Statue of Liberty, or should you see a Broadway show? But your trip to New York City doesn’t have to be stressful. You can enjoy the city just like millions of people do every day and billions of tourists do every year. Here are some things you should do on your trip to New York City. Times Square No trip to New York City is complete without seeing all of the attractions that make New York the city it is. First of all, you should go to Times Square. It’s the busiest intersection in the country, and you will gobs of people and stores there. You can go into one of the many restaurants, many of them franchises, or ones of the many shops, like clothing or candy stores. Many buskers will approach you for a photo opportunity. Be warned that these people work independently and will probably want money for the photo. See the Statue of Liberty Perhaps no landmark symbolizes New York City more than the Statue of Liberty. The statue was a gift from Frances, which has a smaller version standing on an island in its river Seine in Paris. The Statue of Liberty was a beacon for immigrants coming to America longing to be free. You can see the statue from afar, but for the whole effect, you should take one of the cruises to the Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island run by Statue Cruises. Empire State Building Being in New York is an empire state of mind, and you have to go to the Empire State Building to get this whole effect. The art-deco style of this tall building is mesmerizing, and the building is recognized all over the world. It’s also a favorite setting for romantic films. Many couples have shared a kiss at the top of the Empire State Building. Be sure to go to the top before you leave New York. If you have time, visit the Chrysler Building as well. See a Broadway Show Before you leave New York City you have to give your regards to Broadway. The street and its environs are a hotbed for the country’s theater scene, and it’s the only place where you can see first runs of some shows with their original casts. Talent from all over the world goes to New York just for a shot at being in one of these shows, so you are sure to get a performance that is top notch. Ask the hotel concierge for recommendations, and see if you can book some good seats. New York City is an exciting place with limitless opportunities. Look at all of your options, from cruises to the Statue of Liberty to tickets on Broadway, and decide which attractions will be the best for you.
